Why did Dr. Roark create this program?
    When I started the Animal Aromatherapy Specialist Certification (AASC) course, I searched around for what training was available out there for animal aromatherapy. I was not impressed. I found static modules on a website, usually not even taught by a veterinarian.
    I’ve taken online courses before… and found a big problem with most of them. Some didn’t have enough information. Others a waste of my time or confusing with no interaction or any way to ask questions. They didn’t offer any sense of community. It was so frustrating!
    Maybe you’ve taken online courses like that? Many of you were asking me for an online animal aromatherapy course, so I set out to do something different.
    I wanted to create something that was practical. Hands-on. Useful. Confidence-building. Compassionate. Interactive. And dare I say it… even FUN!
    My Beta class in 2020 helped me improve the course so much. Each class just gets better and better, and the students coming out of AASC are ROCKSTARS when it comes to helping animals and their owners with essential oils. Their confidence continues to build, and I love that pet owners can now turn to these amazing people to help their animals.

What you will learn
Each week of this live and highly interactive learning experience, you are going to learn exactly how, when, and why we use essential oils, exactly which oils to use, and how to use your new-found knowledge to help others
WEEK 1: SAFETY & ESSENTIAL OIL BASICS
This is the most important and critical week for learning the foundations of animal aromatherapy. Explore the fundamental principles of using essential oils with animals, focusing on species-specific basics and safety considerations.

WEEK 2: HISTORY & CHEMISTRY BASICS
In this level 1 course we will be covering the basics of aromatherapy history as well as chemistry, in an easy to understand way - don't let this deter you, you won't need a chemistry degree to understand it!

WEEK 3: PHYSICAL BENEFITS OF ESSENTIAL OILS - PART 1
Uncover the physical benefits of commonly used essential oils across various species, understanding their therapeutic properties.

WEEK 4: PHYSICAL BENEFITS OF ESSENTIAL OILS - PART 2
We will be continuing our discussion of the physical benefits of essential oils incorporating insights into systems support and homeostasis for whole animal health.

WEEK 5: EMOTIONAL | BEHAVIORAL BENEFITS OF ESSENTIAL OILS - PART 1
Emotional and behavioral problems are things that come up with animals on a regular basis. Understand the profound impact of essential oils on the brain and dive deep into the underlying mechanisms that promote emotional well-being in all species.

WEEK 6: EMOTIONAL | BEHAVIORAL BENEFITS OF ESSENTIAL OILS - PART 2
We will further delve into the emotional and behavioral advantages of essential oils, exploring the distinct positive responses elicited by each individual oil.

EACH WEEK: ASSESSMENTS
You will receive personal feedback on assessments such as quizzes, assignments, and case studies. This is where you will turn theory into real-life experience with in-person case studies.
